Mechanical Package Manager — Role Overview
This pivotal role places you at the helm of the mechanical package for a large-scale data centre build, spanning design coordination through commissioning. You'll drive delivery across safety, quality, cost, and programme while leading site teams and subcontractors.
Mechanical Package Manager — Responsibilities
You will:
• Manage the complete Mechanical Systems package from design coordination through installation, testing, and commissioning
• Oversee site safety, QHSE culture, and subcontractor compliance with policies and procedures
• Control project schedule, resources, and all associated costs including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, variations, and valuations
• Maintain snagging systems, documentation, and photographic records; produce internal and external progress reports
• Attend site meetings, reviews, and handovers; lead project close-out including O&M manuals, punch lists, QA and safety files
• Schedule and track material deliveries; coordinate change management for cost and programme impacts
• Chair weekly commercial meetings to capture variations and issue costs
• Develop and implement company procedures in coordination with fellow package managers
Mechanical Package Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Proven Project Management experience on large-scale projects; data centre, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments preferred
• Demonstrated track record coordinating and managing complex mechanical systems projects
• Experience handling industrial relations matters
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and practices
• Design and build project experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant mechanical software
• Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and drive team performance
