Mechanical Lead — Role Overview
As Mechanical Lead, you will manage and coordinate all mechanical activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Your expertise will be crucial in managing subcontractors, maintaining quality assurance, and driving project progress.
Mechanical Lead — Responsibilities
As Mechanical Lead, you will:
- Manage labour, materials, plant, and equipment related to the mechanical package.
- Oversee site safety in conjunction with the project team and Safety Advisor, including safety file management.
- Manage site QA for the mechanical package, including file setup and closeout.
- Contribute to project schedule management in collaboration with the project team, consultants, and client.
- Manage project costs, including variations and valuations.
- Manage day-to-day site operations.
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels.
- Ensure the use of the company's snagging system.
- Attend site meetings, project reviews, and handover meetings.
- Close out project items, including final accounts and O&M manuals.
Mechanical Lead — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A trade background with a third level qualification.
- A proven record of coordinating on projects.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
- Ability to drive a large-scale project.
- A construction background.
- Flexibility to travel around Ireland if required (Desirable).
