Mechanical Engineer — Role Overview
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the smooth execution of mechanical works on-site, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project timelines. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of complex data centre projects.
Mechanical Engineer — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and assigning work schedules to the mechanical team and subcontractors.
- Planning and scheduling daily work.
- Supervising and motivating team members.
- Ensuring proper handling of mechanical materials and equipment during the installation stages.
- Maintaining safety standards and adhering to mechanical codes and permits to work.
- Supervising the installation of all mechanical equipment, such as chillers, AHUs, and pumps.
- Controlling and tracking scope changes, engineering changes, and technical queries.
- Reviewing work procedures and suggesting improvement measures.
- Coordinating with different contractors to manage interferences and daily follow-up.
- Coordinating with on-site personnel (civil, electrical) to ensure proper workflow.
- Supervising on-site mechanical operations and reporting major issues to senior management.
Mechanical Engineer — Ideal Candidate
Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- 10+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Data Centre experience required.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in use of systems software related to Engineering functions.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize.
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
