Logistics Supervisor — Role Overview
This Logistics Supervisor role is crucial for the efficient management of site operations. The successful candidate will oversee all project logistics, ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site.
Logistics Supervisor — Responsibilities
As Logistics Supervisor, you will:
- Strategically plan and manage all project logistics, from supplier/vendor to transportation to off-loading on site.
- Follow up and track site deliveries against the schedule, using the Procurement Schedule Report (PSR).
- Manage site safety in conjunction with the project team, including site set up and safe operation of site vehicles.
- Organize and monitor the storage and distribution of materials across the site.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for plant, equipment, and materials procurement.
- Maintain an up-to-date plant log, including hire/purchase dates, off-hire dates, and repair requirements, using the Eida system where possible.
- Manage site operations, scheduling and controlling all site deliveries.
- Implement a ticketing system for site deliveries, ensuring controlled access.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure a workable traffic management plan is maintained.
- Manage all costs associated with plant/equipment, ensuring timely off-hire of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Proven record of coordinating and managing large projects.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Logistics Supervisor.
Desirable:
- Excellent communication skills.
- A trade background with a third-level qualification or relevant experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
- Ability to drive a large-scale project.
- A construction or engineering background.
