Lifting Manager — Role Overview
As Lifting Manager, you will be the custodian of company lifting standards and operational protocols. You will manage a team of APs, ensuring the highest quality of lift planning and surveillance across projects.
Lifting Manager — Responsibilities
As Lifting Manager, you will:
- Own and maintain company lifting standards, procedures, and operational protocols.
- Ensure best practices in lifting, rigging, and craneage.
- Oversee the safe specification, procurement, erection, use, and dismantling of tower cranes and crawlers.
- Manage a team of localized Appointed Persons (APs) to assure high-quality lift planning, surveillance, and feedback.
- Assess lifting operations to provide planning, crane selection, equipment instruction, and supervision.
- Ensure accurate weight, radii, and height calculations.
- Manage and oversee lifting operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct training to promote lifting discipline within the company.
- Audit personnel qualifications prior to lifts.
Lifting Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Construction background with experience in data centre, semi-conductor, or pharmaceutical projects.
- AP Training with the ability to write and understand lift plans.
- Full understanding of BS7121 and IS361.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- TW Awareness.
- Ability to understand CAD Drawings.
- Proficient in Autodesk BIM360.
- Willing to travel weekly across Europe with unrestricted movement across the EU.
