Junior Quantity Surveyor — Role Overview

This role provides crucial support to the construction team, focusing on quantity surveying and contract administration. You will contribute to the financial and contractual control of projects, ensuring accuracy and profitability.

Junior Quantity Surveyor — Responsibilities

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Review and understand project contract documentation
  • Prepare and analyze supplier and sub-contractor enquiries
  • Prepare and issue contract documents to the supply chain
  • Monitor changes in scope of work and price variations
  • Prepare and agree on monthly progress applications
  • Manage the financial and contractual aspects of sub-contractor accounts
  • Issue contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense/acceleration claims
  • Prepare monthly commercial project reports
  • Manage and forecast project cash flows
  • Liaise with the client, main contractor, and other departments
  • Provide data and analysis of issues and risks as required

Junior Quantity Surveyor — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role
  • Mechanical and/or Electrical experience
  • Advanced user skills in SAP & Microsoft Office (advantage)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good oral & written communication skills
