Junior Civil Engineer — Role Overview
This Junior Civil Engineer role is crucial for managing the CSA package and ensuring site safety and quality on-site. You will contribute to the successful execution of projects by managing subcontractors, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Junior Civil Engineer — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the CSA package.
- Managing site safety in conjunction with the project manager and safety advisor.
- Managing site QA for CSA works, ensuring a robust system to avoid issues.
- Managing project schedules in conjunction with the project manager, consulting engineer, and client.
- Managing day-to-day site operations.
- Managing subcontractor activities, including tracking progress and manpower levels.
- Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Issuing direct labor and subcontractor hours for tracking.
- Attending site meetings, internal project reviews, and handover meetings.
- Closing out project items, including O&M manuals, punch lists, and safety files.
Junior Civil Engineer — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- 1-3 years’ experience working with a recognised Mechanical/Electrical contractor
- Degree Qualification
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficient in the use of systems software related to Engineering functions
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
