Fire Protection Fitter — Role Overview
This role focuses on the installation and maintenance of sprinkler systems within the Dublin and Leinster region. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing safety and functionality of fire protection systems in various projects.
Fire Protection Fitter — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Installing various sprinkler systems.
- Planning and executing small to medium-sized jobs, interfacing with clients.
- Surveying works and coordinating with the design team.
- Traveling around the country as needed.
- Draining and refilling sprinkler systems.
- Operating fire pumps and related fire alarms.
- Planning and working from sprinkler drawings.
- Liaising and building relationships with clients.
Fire Protection Fitter — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Experience in the installation of various sprinkler systems.
- Knowledge of all types of sprinkler systems.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Full driver's license (optional).
- Competency in draining/refilling sprinkler systems.
- Competency in operating fire pumps/related fire alarms.
- Planning and working from sprinkler drawings.
- Knowledge of LPC and FM sprinkler rules.
Desirable:
- Safe Pass / manual handling certification.
- National Craft Certificate.
- Previous experience in the role or willingness to learn.
- Ability to manage a job to completion / attend whiteboard meetings.
- Flexibility for work outside of normal working hours.
- Construction background.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline.
