Fire Protection Construction Manager — Role Overview
As Fire Protection Construction Manager, you will be responsible for project execution of fire protection systems, ensuring work aligns with design documents, budget, and schedule. You'll also mentor junior personnel and directly manage trades to maintain efficiency and high-quality standards.
Fire Protection Construction Manager — Responsibilities
You will:
- Establish the detailed scope for fire protection on the project.
- Diligently manage project changes, ensuring a verifiable paper trail.
- Manage all fire protection scope for the project.
- Ensure work is planned and executed in strict alignment with the program schedule.
- Work with the design team to ensure timely availability of materials, designs, and equipment.
- Drive weekly and daily work plans.
- Ensure all personnel understand change management processes and cost implications.
- Work with the planning department to develop a schedule that meets client needs and delivers milestones ahead of schedule.
- Understand the detailed scope of fire protection and have a thorough understanding of the design.
- Work with the Client, Main Contractor, and Design department to clarify design deliverables and ensure design schedules are met.
Fire Protection Construction Manager — Ideal Candidate
- 5 – 7 years’ experience working with a recognised contractor and multi-disciplinary construction teams.
- A trade and/or relevant third level qualification - mechanical
- Sprinkler and Fire Protection experience and exposure is required.
- Demonstrated capability in Construction delivery within specialised industrial sectors including, for example, Life Sciences, Pharma, Mission Critical & Datacentres, etc.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety
- Proven ability to understand and contribute to the development of project implementation for construction projects.
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines
