Fire Protection Construction Manager — Role Overview
As a Construction Manager, you will own the project execution for fire protection systems, ensuring projects are built according to scope, schedule, and budget. Reporting to the Operations/Contracts Manager, you'll drive weekly and daily work plans and mentor junior team members.
Fire Protection Construction Manager — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel under your management.
- Establishing the detailed scope for the fire protection project.
- Managing project changes diligently, maintaining a verifiable paper trail.
- Ensuring all work is planned and executed in strict alignment with the project schedule.
- Collaborating with the design team to ensure timely availability of materials, designs, and equipment.
- Driving weekly and daily work plans.
- Ensuring all personnel understand change management processes and that changes are costed and approved before commencement.
- Working with the planning department to develop a schedule that meets client needs and delivers milestones ahead of schedule.
- Understanding the design and scope of the fire protection deliverables.
- Clarifying design deliverables with the Client, Main Contractor, and Design department.
Fire Protection Construction Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- At least 5 years' experience in the management of construction projects and multi-disciplinary construction teams.
- Demonstrated capability in construction delivery within specialized industrial sectors (Life Sciences, Pharma, Mission Critical & Data-Centres).
- Demonstrable experience promoting and ensuring exemplary standards of health and safety on construction projects.
- Proven ability to understand and contribute to the development of project implementation plans.
- Good inter-personal and communication skills.
