Electrical Supervisor — Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage on-site electrical operations for complex projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules, working closely with subcontractors and the project management team.
Electrical Supervisor — Responsibilities
As Electrical Supervisor, you will:
- Manage site safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including safety file management.
- Liaise with Site QA and the Electrical Package Manager to ensure 'Right First Time' installations.
- Manage project schedules in coordination with other trades, Package Leads, and client requirements.
- Oversee all day-to-day on-site electrical operations.
- Manage subcontractor activities, track progress, and manpower levels, and hold weekly meetings.
- Manage the 'In Progress' snagging system and return weekly punch lists.
- Issue direct labour and subcontractor hours for central tracking.
- Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, and planning meetings.
- Close out project items, including O&M manuals, punch lists, and safety and QA files.
- Implement a weekly look-ahead schedule in coordination with other trades.
- Issue internal weekly progress reports, highlighting progress and any risks.
- Schedule material deliveries to align with the project schedule and maintain a photographic diary.
- Assign work in line with construction schedules and manage productivity.
- Contribute to improved construction practices and designs.
- Ensure construction materials are ordered and inventory is available.
- Keep progress records of activities and monitor personnel attendance.
- Provide technical guidance and support during installations.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Electrical Supervisor — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A trade background.
- 5-10 years of experience supervising large installation crews and subcontractors.
- A proven record of managing large installation projects.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
- Experience in design and build projects.
- Good technical knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
- Ability to drive large-scale projects.
