Electrical Supervisor — Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage on-site electrical operations. You will ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with subcontractors and the project team.
Electrical Supervisor — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Managing site safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including safety file management.
- Liaising with Site QA and the Electrical Package Manager on 'Right First Time' installation.
- Managing day-to-day on-site electrical operations.
- Managing subcontractor activities, tracking progress, and ensuring weekly meetings.
- Managing the snagging system and issuing punch lists.
- Issuing direct labor and subcontractor hours for central tracking.
- Attending site meetings, project reviews, and handover meetings.
- Closing out project items, including O&M manuals, punch lists, and safety/QA files.
- Implementing a weekly look-ahead schedule.
- Issuing internal weekly progress reports.
- Scheduling material deliveries.
- Assigning work in line with construction schedules.
- Managing productivity and meeting work goals.
- Contributing to improved construction practices and designs.
- Ensuring construction materials are ordered and inventory is available.
- Keeping progress records of activities.
- Monitoring personnel attendance and performance.
- Planning and scheduling projects, estimating time and materials, and preparing reports.
- Providing technical guidance and support to the team.
- Ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Inspecting work for compliance with procedures and electrical assignments.
- Liaising with Engineering to ensure conformance with standards.
- Preparing progress reports for management.
Electrical Supervisor — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- A trade background with 5-10 years of experience supervising large installation crews and subcontractors.
- Proven record of supervising and managing large installation projects.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety.
Desirable:
- Experienced in design and build.
- Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
- Ability to drive a large-scale project.
