Electrical Project Manager — Role Overview

This Electrical Project Manager role is crucial for the successful delivery of electrical systems on complex projects. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and supervisors, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Electrical Project Manager — Responsibilities

As Electrical Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage the Electrical Systems package.
  • Lead a team of engineers and supervisors, coordinating with other disciplines.
  • Manage site safety, including setting up and managing the safety file.
  • Drive a focused Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental culture.
  • Manage site QA, including setting up and managing the file.
  • Manage the project schedule, consulting with the Project Manager and Client.
  • Manage all costs associated with the electrical package, including team, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Manage subcontractor activities and track progress.
  • Manage the snagging system.
  • Attend site meetings, project reviews, and handover meetings.
  • Close out project items, including final accounts and O&M manuals.
  • Issue weekly cost and progress reports.
  • Ensure all KPIs are achieved.
  • Schedule and track material deliveries.
  • Maintain a project photographic diary.

Electrical Project Manager — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A trade and/or relevant third-level qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects
  • Experience dealing with Industrial Relations issues
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Experience in design and build
  • Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well within strict deadlines
  • Ability to drive a large-scale project
