Electrical Engineer — Role Overview

As the lead Electrical Engineer, you will manage all engineering functions on the project, providing technical support and direction to the engineering team. The successful candidate will ensure engineering activities align with project timelines and specifications.

Electrical Engineer — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing all engineering functions on the project and providing technical support to the engineering team.
  • Identifying, undertaking, and managing key detailed design tasks.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Issuing weekly/monthly progress reports on engineering activities and attending internal review meetings.
  • Overseeing the coordination process to transform design information into installation drawings, ensuring spec compliance.
  • Managing BIM priorities, including modular concepts, fabrication details, and material validation.
  • Evaluating and promoting new engineering practices to enhance project delivery.
  • Managing technical submittals and associated approvals.
  • Preparing sub-contract and supplier tender packages.
  • Assessing sub-contract and supplier tender returns for technical compliance.
  • Managing material procurement utilizing Engineering Materials Report (EMR).
  • Assisting the Construction Team in managing quality needs on site.
  • Managing the Construction Work Packs process.
  • Ensuring works are installed according to project specifications and the QA plan.

Electrical Engineer — Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • 7 years’ experience working with a recognized Electrical contractor
  • Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent organisational and project planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent I.T. skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in use of Navisworks and Database systems related to Engineering functions.
  • Ability to manage workload and priorities.
