Electrical Engineer — Role Overview
As Electrical Engineer, you will provide crucial support to the project's engineering requirements, liaising with key stakeholders and ensuring compliance with design specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful installation and validation of electrical systems.
Electrical Engineer — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and liaising with key project stakeholders, including the client design team, main contractor, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Generating and managing an Engineering Task Log to ensure activity targets and deadlines are met.
- Reviewing Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of project works.
- Overseeing the coordination process to transform design information into installation drawings by BIM personnel.
- Generating and managing Requests for Information (RFI).
- Assisting the Installation Package team to manage quality on site, ensuring compliance with relevant standards/codes and specifications.
- Assessing subcontractor and supplier tender returns for technical compliance.
- Managing technical submittals and approvals.
- Managing material procurement utilizing the Engineering Materials Report (EMR).
- Ensuring works are installed according to project specifications and the QA plan.
- Managing subcontractors and ensuring adequate information flow.
- Preparing subcontractor and supplier tender packages.
- Managing the Construction Work Packs process.
- Managing BIM priorities and validating materials/assets within the model.
- Supporting and coaching junior engineers.
Electrical Engineer — Ideal Candidate
Desirable:
- 5 – 7 years' experience working with a recognised Electrical contractor
- Excellent organizational and project planning skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in use of Navisworks and Database systems related to Engineering functions
- Familiar with Project /Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM process
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Knowledge of modularisation (Off-Site fabrication)
