Electrical Engineer — Role Overview
This Electrical Engineer role is crucial to the successful execution of complex engineering projects. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, coordination, and installation of electrical systems, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.
Electrical Engineer — Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Prepare technical submittals and manage approvals.
- Schedule and track project progress, ensuring timely completion.
- Work with 3D drawing models and contribute to the design process.
- Coordinate the installation of electrical systems.
- Manage sub-contractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels.
- Ensure works are installed according to project specifications and QA plan.
- Assist in managing the quality needs for the project on site.
- Issue weekly cost reports, including orders placed, materials expected, and labor levels.
- Manage BIM priorities and support the team in developing modular concepts.
- Support and coach junior engineers assigned to the project team.
Electrical Engineer — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
Essential Criteria:
- 5+ years’ experience working with a recognised Mechanical/Electrical contractor
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of systems software related to Engineering functions
- Excellent IT skills
- Familiar with Project /Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM process
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise
Desirable Criteria:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Knowledge of modularisation
