As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will ensure technical compliance and manage electrical packages on assigned projects. Your expertise will be crucial in driving design processes, managing consultants, and ensuring alignment with project and commercial teams.
Electrical Design Engineer — Responsibilities
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
- Ensure technical compliance on all assigned projects.
- Manage the scope of works for electrical packages.
- Manage consultant selections and agree on RACI matrices.
- Attend design team meetings.
- Ensure design programmes align with planning teams.
- Review client responsibility matrices and ensure alignment with project/commercial teams.
- Manage RIBA3-5 design processes and procedures.
- Produce design management plans for projects.
- Ensure Central Engineering checklists are implemented.
- Manage design for safe manufacturing assembly (if applicable).
- Manage project trackers (procurement schedule, technical submittal register, drawing register, RFI log, deviation tracker, lessons learned log, design change log).
- Carry out technical submittal and working drawing reviews.
- Assist with workload on projects (technical submittals, drawing reviews, RFIs).
- Assist project teams with better buying and value engineering.
- Produce reports for assigned projects.
- Assist with tenders for new projects.
- Coach graduate engineers.
- Attend site visits within Europe.
Electrical Design Engineer — Ideal Candidate
Essential Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Design Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience working on large industrial plant projects.
- Proficiency in a related Electrical Design package/software.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Pride in the quality and presentation of work.
- Must be able to work from our Dublin Headquarters.
Desirable:
- Experience working on data centres.
