This critical role ensures adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards on a major construction project. You will contribute to a safe and compliant work environment, supporting both company employees and subcontractors.
EHS Manager — Responsibilities
As EHS Manager, you will:
- Ensure adherence to project and company safety management systems.
- Maintain compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Assist with onboarding of employees and subcontractors, ensuring proper documentation.
- Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, and safe plans of action.
- Coordinate project safety indicators and maintain good safety practices.
- Conduct ongoing COSHH assessments and control hazardous substances.
- Carry out regular site audits and inspections, documenting results and corrective actions.
- Provide safety input to site management and at site EHS forums.
- Assist with accident investigation reports and ensure timely communication.
EHS Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
Essential:
- Relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
- 7+ years’ experience of managing environmental, health and safety on large construction sites.
- 5+ years managing a team of EHS advisors
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
- Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
- Strong communication & computer skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Close attention to detail
- Good team-working skills

- Experience working on Data Centres
