EHS Manager — Role Overview
As EHS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of the project. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment and driving continuous improvement in EHS performance.
EHS Manager — Responsibilities
As EHS Manager, you will:
- Adhere to project and contractor safety management systems.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety statutory provisions and legislation.
- Implement contractor and PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.
- Assist with onboarding employees and subcontractors, ensuring all relevant documentation is in place.
- Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permit to work systems.
- Monitor project safety indicators.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections, document results, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure statutory inspections are completed and records are maintained.
- Provide safety input to site management and at site EHS forums.
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to project and group EHS policies and procedures.
- Coordinate, manage, and maintain contractor induction and training programs.
- Assist with accident investigation reports and ensure communication to project management.
- Oversee waste reduction and recycling programs in line with project policies and procedures.
EHS Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
- 7+ years’ experience managing environmental, health, and safety on large construction sites.
- Experience working on Data Centres (preferred).
- 5+ years managing a team of EHS advisors
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety legislation
- Strong communication & computer skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Close attention to detail
- Good team-working skills
- Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
- Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health, and safety issues on site.
