EHS Manager — Role Overview
As EHS Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety regulations and best practices across the project. The successful candidate will lead a team of advisors and proactively manage all environmental, health, and safety issues on site.
EHS Manager — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Adhering to project and company safety management systems.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Assisting with the onboarding of employees and subcontractors.
- Coordinating the development of method statements, risk assessments, and safe plans of action.
- Coordinating project safety indicators.
- Conducting site audits and inspections, documenting results, and following up on corrective actions.
- Maintaining records of statutory inspections.
- Providing safety input to site management and EHS forums.
- Ensuring subcontractors adhere to project and group EHS policies and procedures.
- Coordinating, managing, and maintaining induction and training.
- Assisting with accident investigation reports.
EHS Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
- 7+ years’ experience managing environmental, health, and safety on large construction sites.
- 5+ years managing a team of EHS advisors
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
- Strong communication & computer skills
Desirable:
- Experience working on Data Centres
