EHS Advisor — Role Overview
This EHS Advisor position is critical to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment on complex construction projects. You will contribute to the development and implementation of safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of all personnel and adherence to regulatory requirements.
EHS Advisor — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Adhering to the project and the company's Safety Management System.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions and legislation.
- Adhering to company and PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.
- Coordinating the development of task-specific Method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permit to work.
- Monitoring project safety indicators and ensuring good safety practices are maintained.
- Conducting ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments and managing hazardous substances.
- Completing and registering safety interventions.
- Carrying out regular site audits and inspections, documenting results, and following up on corrective actions.
- Maintaining records of statutory inspections for project activities, tools, and plant.
- Providing safety input to site management and at site EHS forums.
- Ensuring subcontractors adhere to project and group EHS policies and procedures.
- Coordinating, managing, and maintaining the company's induction and training programs.
- Assisting with accident investigation reports and ensuring timely communication to project management.
EHS Advisor — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
- 3-5 years’ experience managing environmental, health, and safety on large construction sites.
- Experience working in Pharma Industry / Data Centers & Retail.
- Experience in the Fire Protection Industry (preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Strong communication & computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Close attention to detail and good team-working skills.
