EHS Advisor — Role Overview
As an EHS Advisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of project teams and adherence to all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations. You will contribute to a safe and compliant working environment across diverse construction sites.
EHS Advisor — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Implementing and maintaining EHS management systems for all projects.
- Ensuring adherence to project and company safety management systems.
- Complying with relevant environmental, health & safety legislation and plans.
- Coordinating the development of method statements, risk assessments, and safe plans of action.
- Monitoring project safety indicators and good safety practices.
- Conducting COSHH assessments and managing hazardous substances.
- Completing and registering safety interventions.
- Carrying out regular site audits and inspections, documenting reports, and establishing corrective actions.
- Attending site meetings and providing EHS input.
- Providing EHS advice and guidance to management, safety representatives, and employees.
- Ensuring subcontractor adherence to project EHS policies and procedures.
- Coordinating site induction and training.
- Compiling and delivering toolbox talks.
- Assisting with accident investigations and reporting.
- Ensuring proper management of welfare and hygiene facilities.
- Liaising with project management on EHS issues.
- Maintaining up-to-date documentation in the Safety File.
- Supporting waste reduction and recycling programs.
EHS Advisor — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Relevant third-level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety (HETAC Level 7 or Equivalent)
- 3 years minimum site experience
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety legislation
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills
Desirable:
- Flexibility in working patterns
