EHS Advisor — Role Overview
As an EHS Advisor, you will ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of EHS management systems across diverse construction projects. Your contributions will be vital in upholding safety standards, legislative compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
EHS Advisor — Responsibilities
As EHS Advisor, you will:
- Implement and maintain EHS management systems for all projects.
- Adhere to project and safety management systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
- Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Manage and maintain good safety practices on site.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections, documenting reports and establishing corrective actions.
- Provide advice and guidance on all EHS matters to management and employees.
- Assist with accident investigations and ensure timely communication to project management.
- Ensure project subcontractors adhere to project EHS policies and procedures.
- Compile and carry out Toolbox Talks as necessary.
EHS Advisor — Ideal Candidate
- Relevant third-level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
- 3 years minimum site experience.
- Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation.
- Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
- Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
- Strong communication & computer skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
