Document Controller — Role Overview

This is a hands-on site-based role at the heart of a major data centre build, where you'll own the document control function and ensure seamless information flow across engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.

Document Controller — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Managing, organising, and maintaining all project documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility
• Controlling document workflows and maintaining revision records throughout the project lifecycle
• Distributing documents to relevant stakeholders and ensuring access to latest versions of drawings, schedules, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs, and reports
• Maintaining and updating project registers including document register, RFI register, action log, and issue log
• Analysing and summarising data from project logs to highlight outstanding actions or overdue items
• Generating regular reports on document status and overdue items to support project tracking
• Ensuring accurate storage and version control in compliance with project document control procedures
• Liaising with external consultants and contractors to ensure documentation compliance with project standards
• Supporting QA, QC, and HSE initiatives through audit assistance and document-related compliance

Document Controller — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar site-based document control role
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high IT literacy

Desirable:
• Experience with knowledge management or document control systems (Aconex, SharePoint, or similar)
