Document Controller — Role Overview

This role sits at the heart of project delivery, ensuring seamless information flow across a complex, fast-paced construction environment. You will maintain the integrity of all project documentation, directly supporting programme efficiency and compliance across multiple workstreams.

Document Controller — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Ensuring all project documentation adheres to company standards and the Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Distributing and tracking documents to ensure stakeholders access latest versions of drawings, schedules, specifications, contracts, submittals, RFIs and reports
• Maintaining and updating project registers including document register, RFI register, action log and issue log
• Analysing and summarising data from project logs, highlighting outstanding actions and overdue items
• Generating regular reports for project tracking, including document status updates and overdue reports
• Ensuring accurate storage and version control in compliance with project document control procedures
• Liaising with external consultants and contractors to ensure documentation meets project standards
• Supporting QA, QC and HSE initiatives through audit assistance and document-related compliance

Document Controller — Ideal Candidate

Essential:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar site-based document control role
• High level of verbal and written English
• Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
• High level of IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite

Desirable:
• Experience with knowledge sharing applications
