CSA Supervisor — Role Overview

This critical role will oversee and coordinate all Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) works on a large-scale data centre project. The successful candidate will serve as the primary site interface for CSA packages, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.

CSA Supervisor — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:
• Supervising and coordinating all Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) works on a large-scale data center project, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
• Serving as the primary site interface for CSA packages, controlling workfronts, access, housekeeping, and readiness of areas for downstream trades and commissioning.
• Leading day-to-day HSE management in conjunction with the project Safety Advisor, including setup, maintenance, and close-out of the Safety File.
• Reviewing and enforcing RAMS, permits (e.g., hot works, working at height, lifting, permit-to-dig), and ensure compliance with PTW systems.
• Driving proactive hazard identification, toolbox talks, and weekly safety walks with photographic evidence and action tracking.
• Ensuring housekeeping standards, logistics routes, segregation of pedestrians/plant, and control of high-risk activities at all CSA workfronts.
• Setting up, managing, and closing out the CSA QA File in conjunction with the CSA Package Manager.
• Implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), hold/witness points, and continuous inspections of subcontractor works; record results via checklists.
• Managing snagging/punch lists in the project system; driving weekly close-out and trend analysis.
• Maintaining intimate knowledge of the Project Schedule/Program and align CSA subcontractors to meet or improve milestones.
• Running weekly look-ahead planning and coordinating interfaces with other trades and package leads.
• Monitoring daily resource levels and production rates; tracking progress against WBS and reporting variances.
• Assisting with management of all CSA package costs: subcontractor performance, variations/claims, materials deliveries and goods receipting, plant and equipment.
• Reporting site events with commercial impact (deviations, delays, access constraints) weekly to ensure timely capture and entitlement.
• Leading coordination between CSA subcontractors and interfacing trades (MEP, Fire Protection, Security), ensuring design information and access are available.
• Attending site coordination, engineering, planning, and handover meetings as the CSA representative.
• Managing RFIs, design clarifications, and change control in collaboration with engineering and planning.
• Acting as Area Owner for assigned zones: controlling access, sequencing, housekeeping, and readiness checks (e.g., partitions complete, penetrations sealed, floors/doors installed).
• Conducting Pre-Start and Pre-Commissioning Readiness Reviews to ensure CSA completion supports MEP installation and system commissioning.
• Maintaining a daily site diary capturing subcontractor resources, active workfronts, and progress with photographic evidence.
• Issuing internal weekly progress reports (percent complete by WBS, risks, labour levels, orders placed, materials expected).
• Scheduling material deliveries aligned to the project program; tracking critical and long-lead items and verifying QA documents (CE markings, EPDs, certificates).
• Coordinating laydown areas, just-in-time deliveries, and offloading plans to minimize congestion and re-handling.
• Supporting system-based turnover by ensuring CSA elements are complete, clean, labelled, and compliant for testing/commissioning.
• Preparing and contributing to O&M documentation, as-built records, and handover packs with the CSA Package Manager.
• Completing punch lists, Safety File, QA File, and training/defects handover; managing post-completion actions until final acceptance.
