We are seeking a CSA Package Manager for a contract role in Helsinki, Finland. This position offers the opportunity to manage shell and core work packages on diverse projects across Europe.

CSA Package Manager — Role Overview

As CSA Package Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating shell and core work packages across various project sites. You will contribute to ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and engineering teams.

CSA Package Manager — Responsibilities

As CSA Package Manager, you will:

  • Manage the coordination of shell and core work packages.
  • Manage site safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including file setup, management, and closeout.
  • Manage site QA in conjunction with the Project Manager and team, including file setup, management, and closeout.
  • Manage the project schedule in conjunction with the Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors, and consulting Engineer/Architect to Leading Engineering Firm and Client requirements.
  • Manage all costs associated with the project with the support of the project QS, including labor, material, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Manage all day-to-day site operations.
  • Manage subcontractor activities, including tracking progress against the schedule and manpower levels; ensure weekly minuted meetings.
  • Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.
  • Ensure all EHS KPIs are actioned and monitor the performance of those working for them.
  • Review all safety documentation prior to EHS review and sign-off by the Package Lead.
  • Attend Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings, and Handover Meetings.
  • Close out all project items, including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project team.
  • Issue a Daily Report to the Project Manager.
  • Issue weekly safety stats & project labour projections.
  • Hold weekly commercial meetings with the commercial team to ensure all variations are captured and costs issued to the client.
  • Develop and implement company procedures with the project managers.
  • Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
  • Review drawings and setting out details.
  • Ensure RFIs and TSs are developed and tracked, with any delays escalated.
  • Ensure builders works drawings for services incorporated in basebuild.
  • Carry out, distribute, & close out CSA snags.
  • Liaise with the design team and project coordinator to ensure necessary information (as required by construction team) is prioritised (where necessary) and issued in accordance with construction schedule.

CSA Package Manager — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with recognised Structural Steel, Cladding, and Roofing sub-contractors.
  • At least 5 years of site management experience.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and within budgets.
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing Small/Medium installation projects.

Desirable:

  • Experience dealing with Industrial Relations issues.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
  • Ability to drive projects.
  • Understanding of site technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
  • Understanding of structural detailing and required calculations.
  • Sound logical and methodological way of thinking.
  • Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
