CSA Engineer — Role Overview

As CSA Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day on-site operations of civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) packages. Your contribution will be crucial in ensuring project schedules are met and safety and quality standards are maintained.

CSA Engineer — Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing site safety in conjunction with the Safety Advisor, including the setup, management, and closeout of the safety file.
  • Managing site QA in conjunction with the CSA Package Manager, including setup, management, and closeout of the file.
  • Managing the project schedule in conjunction with other trades and package leads.
  • Managing all day-to-day on-site operations for the CSA packages.
  • Assisting with the management of all costs associated with your package, including the CSA team, subcontractors, material deliveries, plant and equipment, and variations.
  • Managing subcontractor activities, including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels.
  • Managing the 'In Progress' snagging system, ensuring weekly punch lists are returned where applicable.
  • Issuing direct labor hours and subcontractor hours to the time administrator for tracking centrally.
  • Attending site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings where required.
  • Closing out all project items including O&M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, and QA File, with the support of the CSA package manager.
  • Implementing a weekly look-ahead, ensuring coordination with other trades.
  • Issuing internal weekly progress reports and supervisor reports, highlighting progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns, and highlighting any risk elements within the control of the company or subcontractors.
  • Scheduling material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule and tracking deliveries.
  • Maintaining a weekly project photographic diary.
  • Performing any other duties associated with the role.

CSA Engineer — Ideal Candidate

Requirements:

  • An engineering qualification or relevant work experience
  • Good computer skills in Word, Excel, etc.
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large projects
