CSA Engineer — Role Overview
This internship provides the opportunity to support the management of civil, structural, and architectural packages on significant projects. You will contribute to site safety, quality assurance, and project scheduling, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of CSA engineering.
CSA Engineer — Responsibilities
As a CSA Engineer Intern, you will:
- Support the management of Civil, Structural, and Architectural packages, reporting to the CSA Manager.
- Assist with Site Safety management in conjunction with the Project Manager, CSA Manager, and Safety Advisor.
- Support QA management, ensuring subcontractor compliance with QA/QC procedures.
- Contribute to project schedule management, ensuring subcontractor adherence to program timelines.
- Report on site events with commercial impact, escalating deviations and delays to the CSA Manager.
- Assist with the management of design deliverables, reviewing drawings and technical submissions.
- Support the management of costs associated with the CSA package, including subcontractors and materials.
- Assist with the management of day-to-day site operations and coordination between subcontractors.
- Track subcontractor activities, monitoring progress against schedule and manpower levels.
- Assist with the preparation of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS.
- Assist with the Assessment of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for technical compliance with design intent specifications.
CSA Engineer — Ideal Candidate
Desirable Criteria:
- An engineering qualification or Construction Management qualification
- 5-10 years relevant experiences
- Good Computer skills in word, excel etc.
- Proven record of co-ordinating and managing large projects
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate complex interfaces.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and advanced digital tools (Revit, Tekla, Navisworks).
- Experience in sustainability practices (LEED/BREEAM) and embodied carbon considerations.
- Knowledge of German or other European building regulations for international projects.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and meet strict deadlines.
