Construction Manager — Role Overview
As Construction Manager, you will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Your leadership will be crucial in coordinating various trades and maintaining high standards of quality.
Construction Manager — Responsibilities
As Construction Manager, you will:
- Manage site safety in conjunction with the project team and the Safety Manager.
- Ensure the construction team follows the site-specific quality plan.
- Manage all site labor, ensuring adequate numbers for all work fronts and minimizing idle resources.
- Manage the project schedule using tools such as P6.
- Attend weekly alignment meetings with the Engineering Manager.
- Manage and order required tools and plant for the site.
- Manage all dayworks, ensuring proper authorization before commencement and timely processing.
Construction Manager — Ideal Candidate
Essential Requirements:
- Good strong knowledge of the full design and construction process.
- Ability to control and manage people and programs.
- A trade background or a relevant third level qualification.
- Proven record of co-ordinating and managing large projects.
- A minimum of 4 years as a Mechanical Construction Manager.
Desirable Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
- Ability to drive a large-scale project.
- A construction background.
- Computer skills - Windows, MS Office and MS Project.
