As Construction Manager, you will play a vital role in managing site operations, ensuring safety and quality, and coordinating project schedules. Your leadership will be crucial in driving project success and maintaining high standards.
Construction Manager — Responsibilities
As Construction Manager, you will:
- Assist in the management of site safety and QA.
- Aid in the management of project schedules.
- Manage and track project costs (labor, materials, equipment, variations).
- Oversee day-to-day site operations.
- Directly manage the project team, aligning discipline leads.
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower.
- Ensure regular meetings with subcontractors and package owners.
- Assist with the snagging system and weekly punch lists.
- Report direct labor and subcontractor hours.
- Lead site meetings, project reviews, and handover meetings.
- Support project close-out (final account, manuals, punch list, files).
- Contribute to weekly progress reports, highlighting progress and risks.
- Drive a culture of safety and quality.
- Ensure subcontractor documentation is maintained.
- Assist with labor projections and variation capture.
Construction Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Manager
- Strong knowledge of the full design and construction process
- Proven ability to control and manage people and programs
- A trade background or relevant third-level qualification
- A proven record of coordinating and managing large projects
