Construction Manager — Role Overview
As a Construction Manager, you will oversee day-to-day site operations and subcontractor activities, ensuring projects adhere to strict safety, quality, and schedule guidelines. Your expertise will be crucial in driving project success and maintaining high standards.
Construction Manager — Responsibilities
As Construction Manager, you will:
- Manage all day-to-day site operations.
- Manage subcontractor activities, track progress, and staffing levels; ensure weekly meetings are held and minuted.
- Manage the snagging system and ensure supervisors return weekly snag/defects lists.
- Ensure direct labor and subcontractor hours are reported for central tracking.
- Attend site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, planning and coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
- Assist with the close out of all project items, including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, and Project Plan.
- Drive the culture of safety and quality throughout the project.
- Ensure all Subcontractor documentation, including safety documentation, is maintained and filed.
- Develop and implement company procedures with package managers.
- Undertake all other duties associated with the role.
Construction Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 years’ experience as a Senior Construction Manager or 10 years as a Construction Manager
- 10 - 15 years previous experience on largescale technical projects.
- Proven record managing large installation projects and sub-contractors
- In depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Quality compliance
- Experienced in design and build
- Excellent technical knowledge of Civil, Structural & Architectural design and installations
- Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within strict deadlines
- Ability to drive a large-scale project
- Highly proficient in English language
