As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial success and contractual compliance of construction projects. Your expertise will be crucial in managing budgets, mitigating risks, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
Commercial Manager — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Validating tender and construction budgets.
- Advising project teams on administration, labour allowances, and forecasting.
- Managing the procurement process in accordance with company guidelines.
- Overseeing the generation of monthly cost reports.
- Liaising with the Business Unit Finance Department.
- Participating in contract and tender reviews.
- Assessing subcontractor and supplier variations.
- Managing the preparation and submission of payment certificates.
- Managing project cash-flow.
- Setting up and maintaining the risk and opportunity management process.
Commercial Manager — Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QS/Commercial Management role.
- Experience in a commercial leadership role on large-scale projects/data centres (desirable).
- Previous experience in Construction Operations.
- Professional qualification in quantity surveying or experienced engineer with commercial responsibilities.
- Good level of legal awareness and competence in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements.
