Civils Lead — Role Overview
This pivotal role places you at the centre of civil delivery on a complex data centre build, managing work packages from groundworks through to final handover. You'll coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders to ensure programme, quality, and safety targets are met.
Civils Lead — Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Leading and coordinating all Civil (CSA) work packages throughout the project lifecycle
• Overseeing site safety compliance in partnership with the safety team from mobilisation to closeout
• Managing QA/QC activities alongside project and quality teams
• Coordinating programme delivery with Planners, Project Managers, subcontractors, and Design Consultants
• Supporting cost tracking, forecasting, and weekly commercial meetings with the QS team
• Overseeing day-to-day site operations, documentation, and progress reporting
• Directing subcontractor performance including progress tracking, manpower, and quality standards
• Leading subcontractor meetings and representing civils at internal and client-facing coordination sessions
• Attending Project Reviews, Engineering, Planning, and Handover Meetings as discipline lead
• Supporting project closeout including punch lists, QA files, safety documentation, and demobilisation
• Ensuring all change management is properly documented with cost and programme impacts captured
• Reviewing and verifying drawings, setting-out details, and as-built documentation
• Coordinating CSA snagging activities to achieve highest quality standards
Civils Lead — Ideal Candidate
Essential:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
• 7+ years' experience in CSA/construction industry, ideally on large-scale projects
• Strong understanding of project planning, sequencing, and scheduling
• Proven track record in team leadership and subcontractor management
• Excellent knowledge of site operations, safety procedures, and quality control standards
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
