Campus Planning Manager — Role Overview

As Campus Planning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all planning activities within the division, reporting to both the Divisional Planning Manager and the Divisional Managing Director. You will play a crucial role in advising and supporting divisional management teams, ensuring projects adhere to planning standards and best practices.

Campus Planning Manager — Responsibilities

As Campus Planning Manager, you will:

  • Report to the Divisional Planning Manager and Divisional Managing Director.
  • Advise and support Divisional Management teams on all planning matters.
  • Report on Planning KPIs on behalf of the Divisional Management team.
  • Assess and report on schedule risk levels.
  • Hire, manage, train, coach, support, develop, and lead Planning staff.
  • Provide planning-related training for MDs, OMs, PMs, CMs, and construction teams.
  • Communicate with clients in support of the business.
  • Implement Planning SOPs and ensure appropriate planning and progress systems are in place.
  • Troubleshoot planning-related issues.
  • Support and advise on bids and tenders, including project selection.
  • Assist in the preparation of claims and provide data for contractual disputes.
  • Develop and advance planning best practices within the company.
  • Assist with Planning Department innovation initiatives.
  • Travel to projects as required.

Campus Planning Manager — Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in planning on large-scale construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Earned Value Management, and Excel.
  • Clear understanding of construction methodologies and sequence.
  • Ability to produce programmes to plan and monitor works from drawings/models/SOW etc.
  • Capability to manage the planning of large-scale projects with minimal supervision.
  • Highly motivated, a self-starter, and able to work well independently and within a team.
  • Clear communicator.
  • Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
